linocut workshop

Linocut printmaking is a wonderful printmaking technique that can produce very striking graphic images to complex designs. In this workshop we will start by looking at various examples of linocuts before working on our own individual designs.

You will learn how to use basic lino cutting tools safely and familiarize yourselves with the tools by mark making on some practice pieces before carving your own lino design.

After carving, you will learn how to roll out ink and make some test prints. When you are happy with your design, you will print the final pieces on good quality printmaking paper, and have a small edition to take home.

Time: 4 hours, 1 pm - 5 pm
Cost: $130 per person
Max: 4 people

*All materials and use of all the tools and press are included in the cost of the workshop. Tea, coffee and light snacks are provided.
